Change Your Frame
When we are struggling in a relationship that negativity can shape the way we see our significant other. The internal dialog that you have about your significant other can influence how you perceive them, your emotions towards them, and your interactions.
Try and observe how you describe your partner in your mind. If you find yourself with negative thoughts the following exercise can be helpful. It’s easy, quick, and can change the way you interact with your significant other for the positive.
1.Once per day for a week tell your partner something you appreciate, respect, or are grateful for about them.
2. Do not just think of an answer. Your job is to feel your answer and the positive emotion that it elicits. Take some time and bask in that emotion.
This exercise not only helps you but also your partner feel good.
